Hiking, Wine Tasting and Relaxing: 5 Fun Things to Do in Kelowna

It’s summer in Canada, which means that the weather is perfect for hiking and wine tasting! Kelowna is a beautiful place to visit with its snow-capped mountains, lakes, biking trails and wineries. It’s difficult to choose just one thing you want to do in Kelowna—there are so many fun things to do while visiting.

In this blog post, I’ll mention 10 things to do during your stay!

Visit the Westbank First Nation

Learn about the Westbank First Nation, an Indigenous community that has lived in Kelowna for over 12,000 years. Visit their museum to learn more about the culture and history of this ancient civilization! This is a great place to take kids who are curious about Canada’s diverse cultures.

Go for a walk in one of the many parks around Kelowna

There are many parks in Kelowna with beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife! If you’re looking for a relaxing walk, try walking around Okanagan Lake. If you can look up from online pokies nz on your phone for a minute, I promise it’s worth it.

Or if you want to get some exercise, take the kids to Dufferin Park or Edgewater Park for an enjoyable hike on one of their well-maintained trails. Kelowna is a fantastic place for hikers of all levels.

Take a tour of the world-famous Okanagan Valley wineries

There are many wineries in Kelowna that you can take a tour of and sample some delicious wines! Some popular options include Mission Hill Winery, Quails Gate Estate Winery and Dragon’s Reach. You’ll get to taste the different grape varieties as well as learn more about how wine is made.

If you’re a fan of wine, you should also visit the Okanagan Wine Museum. You’ll learn more about wine history and tradition, as well as the history of wine in Kelowna.

As a bonus, if you’re interested in learning about other types of alcohol, visit Quails’ Gate Distillery to learn all about making whiskey!

The tour is self-guided so it’s perfect for kids who might not be old enough to enjoy tasting some spirits yet.

Enjoy some live music

Kelowna is home to many talented musicians who offer live performances for the public. Some great venues that you can check out are The Ceili Cottage and UBC Okanagan Campus Theatre.

##Have an adventure by going on a hike or a bike ride

Kelowna is home to many trails that are perfect for hiking, biking and even cross-country skiing! Visit the Nature House or West Kelowna Heritage Park on your next visit. There’s plenty of wildlife in these areas so be sure to pack some binoculars and get ready for a wonderful time exploring nature.

Spend some time at a water park

Kids can enjoy a day out at the water park on their next visit to Kelowna. The nearby Rutland Centennial Pool has an impressive five-lane, 25-meter lap pool with weight room and exercise equipment that is open year-round! There are also great water slides and a hot tub that will make for an exciting day out.
