Known most famously for its rugged wilderness and friendly locals, there is plenty to explore in Canada whether you’re looking to get in touch with nature or make friends while dancing the night away or sampling regional delicacies. Covering so much land, there is a huge range of experiences awaiting you in Canada. Here are a few options that are a bit off the beaten path but nevertheless have so much to offer.

A hub for artists and outdoor adventure seekers alike, the unassuming vibe of this historic heritage destination is part of what makes it so special. There are lots to discover in the city itself, from art shops to historic landmarks, you can then unwind in one of Nelson’s many chic cafes or restaurants. The surrounding area is also definitely worth exploring. Tucked away in the Selkirk Mountains, nature is truly stunning and speckled with other delightful little cities and villages.

With plenty of breathtaking nature within the area, Dawson City makes a great stop during a meandering road trip through The Yukon.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

On the other side of the country, you’ll find an equally charming, albeit in a very different way, Canadian town. Charlottetown, the capital of Canada’s island provide, Prince Edward Island, is pure elegance, grace, and class. Rich with history, this picture-perfect city offers a highly palatable mix of city life and island style. Great shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities abound.
