What To Do When You’re Stuck at the Airport in Canada

By Faisal · On February 21, 2021

You could find yourself stranded in a Canadian airport. Then you ask yourself, “what do I do now”. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to occupy your time if you’re stuck or just have a long layover. You can read a book, eat a meal. There many fine restaurants in Canadian airports these days.

You can play a game on your phone. Or you can play one right at the airport. Talking about your phone now, you can find many games to play. Some of the best casino games are Texas hold ’em, online slots, and poker. Some play for real money, but usually tokens are used that represent money that can be traded in for cash.

In this way, the law is circumvented. If you’re in Canada the laws about online casinos are much the same as in the U.S. There are some differences. However, you can go around this by playing online. Certainly, this might be the most interesting thing for you to do while stuck at the airport, but it’s not the only entertainment.

As mentioned before, you can do a few different things that can make the time go by. Some airports in Canada have theaters in them if you want to watch a movie on the big screen rather than on your phone. If you’re not keen on sitting a long time since you’ve been sitting on the plane from a long flight some airports have gyms in them. You can rent some gym clothes and get a good workout before your next flight.

You can have a fine meal. There are many premier restaurants in airports in Canada. Of course, you can locate a pub in the airport if drinking is your thing. Please drink responsibly. You wouldn’t want airport security calling the cops on you for misbehaving.

There are so-called brick-and-Mordor stores located in airports. Shopping for friends and family is convenient that way. This is true of just about any airport in the world. Head over to the spa. Relax and get yourself a manicure or pedicure so that you look your best when you finally reach your destination.

There is just about everything in a modern airport these days. Go get a perm or a haircut while playing American online casino games on your phone. I once knew a woman who would go to a nearby airport to get her hair done because she liked the stylist there.

Now there are sleeping booths in some Canadian airports where you can catch a few ZZ’s until your next flight. You need to remember that things or services in airports are pricey. There are no two ways about it. You’re going to pay twice if not three times as much at an airport than anywhere else.

So there you have it. Just about anything thing you want to get, any type of service you need you can get at an airport. Airports these days in Canada are like mini-cities with many amenities. They are well equipped to handle a long layover or stranded passengers because of one reason or another.
