Top Trails for ATVing in Quebec

By Faisal · On July 11, 2012

When it comes to ATVing in Canada, Quebec doesn’t receive nearly as much attention as it deserves. Quebec is geographically diverse, and it provides a nice balance between riding areas and urban proximity. Quebec is a great choice for a single-day excursion, but it’s also a spectacular option for a weekend adventure or even an entire vacation. It’s high time that you dust off the ATV, open the garage doors, and take it out for a spin. In that spirit, we present our top five ATVing locations in Quebec:

Chaudière-Appalaches

This region of Quebec is named for the Appalachian Mountains and the Chaudière River, and it comprises the area historically known as Beauce. This region boasts more than 1,800 miles of ATV trails. The majority of these trails are suitable for all four seasons, and difficulties run the gamut. Additionally, there are numerous nearby accommodations available as well as ATV-centric travel packages.

Centre-du-Québe

Centre-du-Québe is a bordering region of Chaudière-Appalaches, and it is feasible to plan an ATV adventure that includes both areas. Centre-du-Québe includes 930 miles of trails, and like in Chaudière-Appalaches, these trails are suitable to all seasons and run the gamut of difficulties. This region is not quite as diverse as Chaudière-Appalaches in terms of terrain, but it does provide some majestic scenery that is unlike anything else in North America.

Trans-Québec #63

Trans-Québec #63 is one of the most famous skimobile/ATV trails in Canada, and it actually qualifies as a highway due to its length. Trans-Québec #63 is a particularly awesome option for ATV riders who want to take an extended ride. The trail is suitable year-round, and it is well renowned for its road signs and quality of maintenance. Auberge Beaux Rêves Auberge Beaux Rêves is a unique ATV experience that winds along an amazing river. Riders can camp, stay at a lodge, or stay at the Inn and Spa. During the day, riders can ride along the river as well as stop to fish, swim or experience a wide array of natural wonders, including river whirlpools.

La Verendrye Lodge

La Verendrye Lodge is located in one of Quebec’s most beautiful forested areas. The area is nearly 100 square miles, and it includes 35 lakes and 23 hunting territories. It also has miles of trails appropriate to ATVing, mountain biking and hiking. This list is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Montreal boasts nearly 11,000 miles of ATV trails. These trails include a wide range of terrains and a diverse array of scenery. ATVing in Quebec is an experience that you will never forget.
