The Beach Boys Set to Perform at Montreal’s 36th Just For Laughs Festival

By Tammy · On May 11, 2018

After 35 years of comedy, the Just For Laughs Festival is ready for its 36th run this July! From July 14th til the 28th, the festival has scheduled loads of diverse acts, so there’s going to be something for everyone to enjoy. And, to make things even better, the outdoor stage hosts free events that are open for the public to enjoy.

Who To See?

This year, the Beach Boys (yeah, those Beach Boys!) will perform on the aforementioned outdoor stage, which means that their sets will be free for everyone to listen to at the Place des Festivals! There will also be over 100 artists and teen idols performing and meeting their fans, making this a great festival for even younger kids to enjoy. Kevin Hart is also going to make it to Montreal, and who wouldn’t want to see the legend perform?

The event that I am most excited about is Mado’s Got Talent!, a show that combines comedy, traditional drag shows, music, and circus performers. Mado Lamotte’s work is always a pleasure to watch, and they have promised a memorable and hilarious show for this year’s festival. For even more partying, you can head over to the Melting Pot on Esplanade de la Place des Arts, a club that will be bumping all night long!

If you get hungry, Bouffons!MTL market will be here again this year! That means more food trucks than you can count, all sorts of craft beers, unique food stalls, tasting workshops, and so much more.  You can find the market on the corner of St Catherine West and Bleury street, which is pretty close to the outdoor stage.

We’ll know more about the festival lineup in June, we can’t wait to see who else is coming to Montreal!
