I don’t know about you, but after all those Christmas parties, I’m feeling like I desperately need to eat something organic. I know that sounds silly, but after all the desserts I’ve eaten, it would be really nice to see a vegetable or two find its way into my kitchen. Luckily for me, the Steam Whistle Brewery are hosting a Winter Farmers market this Sunday in Toronto! I was so excited to hear about a farmers’ market at the end of December, I’ll actually be able to get some local produce and support local farmers even when it’s freezing outside!
The Winter Farmers market is going to be on starting on December 29th, and will run from 10 in the morning til 2 in the afternoon. Steam Whistle Brewery will host the Winter Farmers Market every Sunday until February 23rd, so there will be plenty of time to stop by if you’re interested. It’s located on 255 Bremner Boulevard, which is ridiculously easy to get to no matter what form on transportation you’re using, because it’s right across from the CN Tower!
The Brewery is advertising that the Winter Farmers Market will have farmers selling root vegetables like carrots and squash, delicious apples, maple syrup and other maple-y things, honey, meats and cheeses, and all sorts of fun beauty products. That on top of all the baked goods that the vendors will have out gives me no excuse not to go! I absolutely cannot wait, and I hope I see you there!
