Jewelry Shopping Stinks for Guys. Here’s How to Make It Less Painful.

By Faisal · On July 10, 2017

Giving jewelry is incredibly romantic. You hand her a box with a beautiful ring, necklace, or bracelet. She opens it and squeals with delight, wrapping her arms around you and rewarding you with a kiss. I can, without a doubt, say that giving your girlfriend or wife jewelry is the absolute best.

I can also say that shopping for jewelry is the absolute worst. You go to a store and wander past endless cases of rings and necklaces in different shapes, sizes, and colors. The salesperson’s eyes are on you and you feel pressured – pick something! There are other people waiting! Pick something – but it has better be good! It had better be perfect!

Thankfully, before my most recent wedding anniversary, I had read about James Allen.

Changing the Jewelry Purchasing Game
What is this James Allen, you ask? They’re a high-end jeweler with an amazing selection. I was initially hesitant about purchasing jewelry online. How did I know that I was getting good quality for my money? Would the diamonds and stones be real? What about great customer service?

I noticed that James Allen kept showing up in various articles about online jewelry shopping. Intrigued, I began researching specific reviews of James Allen. Wow. Even Forbes magazine was impressed with their quality and expertise, publishing an article about James Allen and engagement rings.

With their focus on online jewelry sales, James Allen is able to keep prices down on high-end pieces of jewelry. This doesn’t mean that their jewelry is cheap. What it does mean is that you’ll get the best prices on the highest quality diamond and gemstone earrings, necklaces, rings, and pendants.

Privacy and No Pressure
Another plus of shopping with James Allen online? You’re free to shop in the privacy of your own home. You don’t feel pressured to make a choice or pick a particular piece just because a salesperson is pushing it. The selection on the James Allen site is displayed in a way that makes it easy to envision how each piece would look on your special someone.

With the pressure off and the time to make the right decision, it’s easier to choose a gift that will make the next big occasion one that your wife or girlfriend will never forget.

My dad is just as hopeless as I am about jewelry shopping. His and my mom’s twentieth wedding anniversary is coming up next year. Rather than letting him sweat it out at a jewelry shop, I think I’ll tell him about my online jewelry shopping secret.
