I know it’s a bit dreary now that the holidays are over and we’re trudging through January, but there are things to look forward to in Toronto. Winter doesn’t have to be boring in Canada! This year, Winterlicious will allow you to explore the Torontonian food scene—restaurants all over the city are offering delicious prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner, making delicious food from some of the best restaurants in the city more affordable. Are you ready to get Winterlicious?
Lunches range from $23 to $33, and dinners range from $33 to $53, for everything from Greek to Egyptian to Japanese food. Arisu Korean BBQ & Sushi presents a $23 lunch that allows you to choose from three appetizers, four entries, and three desserts; I’m going to go for the tteokgalbia meat ball, the grilled bulgogi stone pot bibimbap, and the rice wine sorbet! The Mathari Grill, a restaurant that specializes in Malaysian fusion, is also putting out a $23 lunch! I’m excited about the green mango salad, casbah cashew prawn, and the Alfonso mango sorbet. There are 192 restaurants participating from the Danforth to the Village, and the sky’s the limit with the number of delicious food combinations you can try.
To snag a seat for Winterlicious, check out the website to see which restaurants are participating and take a look at the menus. Contact the restaurants directly to make reservations for Winterlicious, happening between January 25th and February 7th, to be sure to have seats for yourself and your loved ones. I’m planning on taking my boyfriend for an early Valentine’s day dinner, maybe you can take your loved ones out for the same!
