Go Toronto!
When anyone thinks about Toronto, they probably conjure up an
image of a city skyline and the CN Tower, but there is a lot to Toronto
beyond ascending the world’s tallest.
Like many great Canadian
cities, Toronto has a great waterfront. There are islands to explore, and
many beaches provide the perfect location for summer sun. It is worth a
little research to find which beach matches your idea of a good day, with
Centre Island Beach ideal for the picnic crowd and a visit Ashbridges Bay
to watch or even play Volleyball.
Canada's Economic
Hub
Being Canada’s economic and business centre doesn’t mean
its all work, as usual with most Canadian’s Torontonians love the active
outdoors and as such the city is full of things to do.
The Harbour
front is the perfect place to rent a bike, or don your inline skates for
hours and literally miles of trails around some great scenery. Along the
way you are sure to find plenty of places worthy of your camera and there
is no better way to explore a city than under your own leg
power.
You cannot escape the lush green hues of the cities parks; in
fact Toronto is so proud of its green parks that you can often be
encouraged to ’Please walk on the grass’ by official sign
posts
CN Tower
Below the awesome CN Tower is the
Roger’s Centre, the world’s first stadium with a fully retractable roof,
here you will find many sporting events and music concerts. If your visit
to Toronto allows you the time why not check what is on, what better way to
feel the pulse of Toronto than watching a live sporting event such as a
game of Canadian football?
Old Town Toronto is the place to go for
the city history and heritage, but as well as finding many great museums
and restored buildings you will also be able to discover some shops,
places to eat and even art from local artists. A visit to Old Town Toronto
is a great walk around an interesting area of the city, so it is not to be
missed.
Travelling out of the city there are many great attractions
to see and one must see is a 35 million gallon waterfall called Niagara
Falls.
